The US Initial jobless claims for January 15 plunged to 404 thousand; lower than the predicted 420 thousand and the prior revised reading of 441 thousand from 445 thousand whereas the continuing claims for January 8 plunged to 3861 thousand; better than the projected 3985 thousand and the prior revi.
